My Honest One

It’s interesting to see how a 10 year old can be so expressive and significant about her emotions, feelings and opinions, that I wonder when I was her age, did I even know what opinions mean?

My Honest One called me the other day and told me (shouting on top of her voice), “Iddi bua, I remembered 3 numbers; Mom’s, Dad’s and yours. I was saving all of them and I wanted to tell you that I saved your number by the name “My Love”, because you’re my first and last love." Can you imagine what it took my ten year old to do something like that? Sheer love. How it surprises me that she thought of penning it down and then calling me and informing me about it.

Take this:

My mother called me one fine day and told me that there is a rishta for me, and I had that expression ( oh my god…not again ) but she kept laughing and I couldn’t understand the reason for her happiness. So here goes the story……
Apparently Rhea was chatting while having lunch with her daadi on the kitchen slab, and they are chatting about iddi bua (well…that’s me) and with a sudden outburst goes rhea off the floor and bends on her knees and pleads daadi “please let me marry iddi bua, I will always keep her happy and she doesn’t need anyone, we both will be sooooo happy; it’ll be like a happy family. Please please let me marry her.” And there goes my mother laughing her heart out while she tells me that there is a rishta for you; not to forget her comments post that , “ starting from the youngest to the eldest, there is no one in this family who wants you married…where do I go ”, and she smiles and disconnects.

My little honest one is indeed the most honest and expressive child that I’ve seen. Her love for me is so unconditional that sometimes it surprises me to no end.
Indeed she is my honest one 

My Paradigm Shift

I had once attended a training program which talked about this term called “paradigm shift”. The word was catchy and interesting and as we progressed, I gathered what it meant and how far you can go in letting loose your mind.

Not only let loose your mind but also see how far you can go in creating, identifying and realizing the realm of your own little zig - zag brain. Your mind will tell you this and your heart will tell you poles apart that and while you are somewhere in between juggling with the creation of a whole new world , you come to think of how vast is this platform which you never thought existed.
So what does paradigm shift really mean?

Well, the true definition is a shift from your real present to something that doesn’t exist today and has not even clicked a soul but may exist in future.
Come to think of it, while I was attending this session we could only give examples of technology and the shifts that we may see in future. We talked about something that can go beyond eye lenses, jean, cars and what could come next. But today when I sit by myself with a cup of tea in hand, it takes me six months back to the days when I was contemplating moving to a new city, buying new things for my future little house, new people, new rains, new roads…the air that I would breathe and just everything around me was about to shift with my love.

We stepped the first and the second and then there was dead end … well we thought it was dead, but it was a tunnel which both refused to enter. We stopped and couldn’t think of the shift that might come in future and would change our lives. We were unable to find the third step but were hopeful that it’ll come, and so it came. We stepped , were back to the same old place with the same old friends and the same old faces …but the life that we had dreamt of came true in the city which we had never thought of. A shift that never crossed our minds …became true.

That day gone, everyday has been a shift and it surprises both of us with unimaginable experiences, results and our own little creations of our minds…for each other and with each other. You can only experience this vast platform when you are in it and not when you see it from a distance.
Our eyes will also see a shift in future …of course of how beautifully we create and shift :)

Your"self" amazes you

It's so interesting that sometimes you are able to take control of yourself and sometimes it just drifts away from your hands, no matter how much you try to hold it.
I recently discovered that there are phases of your contentment. There are times when you are all satisfied and fulfilled with your life, and yourself, and at this point you feel no desire or longing for anybody…anything in this world. You are all self motivated and you start believing that you aptly know what will keep you happy and what will not. You are all clear in your head and you see the path you intend to take right in front of your eyes and you start treading to wherever it wishes to take. You meet them all on this way and keep guiding, directing and leading with a happy heart and a content soul. Your guidance gives you an affirmation of your own beliefs and you get stronger with each lesson that you learn and unlearn.
You get happiness in all the little little things, people, smiles, deeds, nature……and life seems just so beautiful that somewhere you are caught in amazement of those wanting to end their lives. Why would anyone want to end this gorgeous life when you get to live it once?
While you are on this path, you meet all kinds of people. Some follow what you tread, some tell you to tread a better path, some believe in your belief blindly, and some catch you by surprise when they show you a different meaning of life. This different meaning never meant anything to you earlier, it suddenly gets you thinking why didn’t it matter and why does it now? You always knew it existed, but you always thought it wasn’t what you were searching for, and you would be happy without it, but this influence gets so strong sometimes that you start thinking about it, getting into it, believing in it and one day you realize you are a part of it. It kind of makes you happy, but you still somewhere at the back of your mind believe whether this is what you want to be?
This is where the two sides of your brain start talking to each other. One says , you could live without it earlier and had different dreams to fulfill; while the other says, you never experienced it to believe it…now that you have, if it makes you happy you shouldn’t bother about what you treaded. Both sound convincing and strong and try to pull to make a decision. This is exactly the point where you are caught by surprise of your “own self ,” that you are confused; when earlier you were bang on in your thoughts.
It doesn’t matter what you decide in the end, because each path will have its own pros and cons; but what you’ve come to see is a new side of your own self. “Experience shows you your own faces.” What you never thought you were, you become some day. Hence experiences should continue to happen, to make you see yourself in different mirrors of life.
Do what keeps you happy in the end, because nothing can be stronger than that to show you what you are made of.

One Liners Get You Thinking

It is so strange that I can write a paragraph and still not get a word of it ...instead just shoot a one liner, and can hit, bang on. I have a few examples which were showered on me by some very close friends, some acquaintances, and some people who just walk past without even realising what they left for me.

It began with the same old conversation of finding the right guy, with one of my acquaintances, and the conversation was overheated with examples of experience vs knowledge. Experience pulled an upper hand and the lady puts it in crisp words for me:

“Always look for the wrong guy honey and you will find the right one” Thanks Bhaswati for making it look so simple.

Well, that definitely got me thinking and I realised that I am always around the badmaash gang. And this has been a childhood habit, so it basically needs no work on, but the vision is clearer J

“Life is beautiful when you have people who make an attempt to make it worth for you to live it to the fullest”. Thanks my sunshine for making my life worth living

Well, there is a story to it. I was on my way to meet a friend when my sunshine messaged me this. All i could think of was, “I making somebody’s life worth living”. I kept thinking about it and got down of the bus (don’t know where), and almost after an hour i realised that i was right below my sunshine’s house. I never could gather the courage to understand the bond between two people from poles apart locations.

“You don’t have to deal with your feelings. They are yours, so is your heart and mind. Every one works with each other and they never fight”. That took me further into depression my Einstein.

Alright, so this was post an emotional outburst and turmoil of our usual highs and lows. Ofcourse this was one of my low days and i know it from the bottom of my heart that my Einstein can never help me overcome it, and he proved me right. However, i never knew that someone can be this deep and get me thinking. (He is one of the funniest guys I’ve ever known .... Bitter Gourd)

“You have wings to do everything and achieve anything you truly want. You just need to explore and open up .Lets choose our own ways of life head high and leave prints for others to follow”. I never knew my monkey could guide.

Okay, this came from somebody whose first impression is “I know it all honey, stay away”. It took almost a year and a half to break the ice. Full of energy and excitement all the time, and bundles of confidence is what he is. Perceptions mislead. And in knowing you, i definitely placed it right. Sometimes you go directionless and that’s when this came.

I truly respect all of you and more for making my life beautiful.

Try looking for the good in everyone, and you will find good people around. You tell them of their good and see how they will shower it on you. They are just waiting to be explored.

Perceptions indeed mislead, and so i say it all the time.

Child - Like

A child meant to be a child.
Never did things so wild.
He smiled and didn't; thought it was an offence and couldn't.

He saw tears and wiped them away,
his own tears flew away.
He saw food and thought of playing,
his thoughts were blue and green,
but real life only encouraged his thoughts in his mind.

He saw foul and thought it was wrong;
he outgrew his mind and was made to think strong.
Uncertainity circled his life and death ...
gradually life and its worth faded and no word existed as " faith ".

Survival became his motto.
His life looked like a stilleto.
What's worth or " less "
He felt stifled and cared less.

Our child - like child is meant to be a child and wild.
Mistreating and exploiting him is a crime ... should be killed.
Lets' smile in their smiles and encourage their hands to play.
they are meant to play and mischief and not be mistreated.

Sayeth Shakespeare

"To be or not to be...that is the question"... said Hamlet ( directly ).

All of us face this question time and again in our lives.

The answers we find are different each time, but satisfactory for ourselves, and the search never ends for the perfect answer.

Find whatever you may ... you shall live; now that you are born...be it in mirth or in harmony.

Life

Life is the most beautful part of our journey.

Some may curse themselves of their birth, and some may be the happiest.

But believe me...you can mend it the way you want it.

It's like those abstract paintings where you just have to make way for yourself......yourself.

Take the brush wherever you want to, my painters.

My Water Shine

Like a flower waiting to bloom,
you came in our lives - a new tune.
Like a lipstick waiting to be worn,
you blew our worries away, instead kept a fern.

You always thought of life as a dead road,
but let me tell you my water shine, we are here to take away your worries and load.
Smile could never be so pure as yours,
a heart where sits an angel deep in the core.

Worries...worries...just close your eyes,
let your tears flow down and fly.
Your eyes are like water...so deep and hurt,
you can keep the water, but throw away the dirt.

Nobody can match your rarity around,
know this that you are free to fly...and not bound.
You know you carry a heart of gold,
so what worries you...that it'll grow old?

A Long Life Or Short

Either life puts you in quicksand to sink slowly throughout the journey, or it rests you on a bird to fly higher and higher. It sometimes rests you on a cloud as well so that you learn to fall... as does rain , and evaporate as a cloud again. For some it's as short as a day's journey; while for some it's still the stone age. It makes you......so...... it breaks you.

At times "black" at times "white"...at times motley coloured...wanting you to decide at every stage.

Deciding will again have two sides to it -- which either way you'll have to decide.

Keep deciding and life moves on......there you go
